HOFF PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCES DEAL WITH SPEED CHANNEL TO PRODUCE THE NEW SERIES “BUILDING SPEED”
SAN FRANCISCO, August 27, 2010 --- State-of-the-art factories... world-renowned racing venues... adrenaline pumping automobiles. Hoff Productions announces its first production deal with the Speed Channel to produce the ten-hour series Building Speed.
“We have tremendous success with engineering and science shows,” President and Executive Producer Michael Hoff said. “Viewers love to see how cutting-edge factories build iconic vehicles, and these shows are proven ratings winners for us. We also have a few surprise episodes we feel will push the envelope of the traditional factory show.”
Building Speed is a 10x60 series that spans the globe to unveil the architects of acceleration and the fabricators of fast. From celebrated speedways to notoriously secretive factories, it’s an insider’s look at the masterminds of momentum. Building Speed will explore racetracks, monster trucks, drag racers, and other fascinating topics associated with the powers of propulsion. These are the restricted areas the public rarely - if ever - gets to see.
"Hoff Productions has a great track record covering both technology and competitive motor sports," said Robert Ecker, VP of Programming for SPEED. "This program is a perfect marriage of those two arenas, and we're excited to partner with a company like Hoff Productions, whose depth of experience aligns perfectly with our programming goals.”
