MORE HOFF HI-DEF TITLES FOR OTF

US-based independent documentary producer Hoff Productions has signed its third and largest distribution deal with Dutch factual distributor Off The Fence.

The agreement, for a nine-hour package of high-definition programming, follows two previous partnerships between the companies. The new agreement excludes the US and English-speaking Canada, and the titles are expected to roll out worldwide from the end of the year.

The new package includes specials and miniseries. Thrill Zone traces the evolution of race cars, while Fantastic Food Factories, Mega Structures, Mega Brewery and Moonshine take a look at how iconic foods and beverages are made and end up on our tables.

"OTF has been great to work with this year, said Hoff. "As we began to develop new programmes for National Geographic Channel, we looked to OTF as our natural global partner for these shows." OTF currently distributes Hoff Productions's Extreme Powerboats, Mega Structures and When Nature Strikes.

In addition to the OTF-distributed package, Hoff Productions is producing seven other programmes for the National Geographic Channel. Hoff described the channel as the frontrunner of HD programming, adding: "The appetite for high-def television has exploded on the international scene as well and we're equipped to be a part of its growth."
