California's Hoff Productions is to make new series for US cable channels WEtv and The Weather Channel, due to air this winter.
Chain Gang Girls is a two-hour observational documentary for WEtv about women shackled and working on a real-life Arizona chain gang. UK distributor IMG World will distribute it outside the US.
Climate Quiz is a series of interstitials The Weather Channel that follows 'science guy' Bill Nye as he puts climate-related questions to people in New York and LA.
"The chain gang stories are amazing and truly show how each of us is only a hair's breadth away from the wrong side of the law," said Hoff's present and exec producer Michael Hoff. "Climate Quiz presents great water-cooler information about the Earth and our affect on the environment in a fun and entertaining Q&A format."
Other Hoff productions due to air in the coming months include Hooked Again: More Monster Fish, Caught Barehanded and Fishzilla on the National Geographic Channel; Green Wheels on Voom's Equator HD; and Top 401K Mistakes on the Fine Living Network.
